Is it beneficial to put some sort of turbo cam in an na conversion?

Hey guys

Is there a benefit in running a turbo cam in a converted na to turbo?

Or is there better things to do?

Long term looking changing the log manifold to a collector and putting a plenum or half plenum on and changing out the ebay el cheapo turbo for a nicer ball bearing type.

Car is dedicated logbooked supersprint/hillclimb/circuit car and the aim/idea is to try to run a relaible 300-350kw all day.

Is this possible with a high comp motor?

Engine managment and dynotune will be an integral part of the completed setup and from what I'm reading on the forum you can run up to 10pound on the high comp bottom end.

So would a turbo cam of some description be beneficial to the high comp setup or is it a waste without decompressing the motor?

If it all goes kaput and the engine comes out I will swap out the pistons for turbo forgies anyway but Im still interested in what the current setup is capable of!!??

Any input is welcomed

Cheers

Kezza
