vl running on 5 cylinders

Hey guys first time posting here. I have a Na vl 5 speed and its only running on 5 cylinders. The 5th cylinder isn't running at all. When I take the injector plug off the engine doesn't change at all. But does on the other 5. I checked the plug and lead and its sparking fine. I threw a voltimetre on the injector plug and got a lower reading than the other 5. Any ideas on what it could be?

Thanks for the help in advanced

no.5 injector is connected electrically in parallel with 1 & 3 even though they wires go all the way back to the ECU separately.
that means if 1 or 3 or 5 don't work, then its the computer (ECCS/ECU) else its a connector or wiring. the wires do back to ECU and connect together when ECU is plugged in. The 12v power are all joined together with ECU connected or not.

All 3 injectors fire at same time so either swap injectors and see if the problem moves or take the lot out and get them serviced. no.5 must be dead unless the power feed to it is broken. It's either pink or orange wire and will trace back to the other injectors power also. The connections may be corroded really badly so best open up the wiring loom and have a sticky.
any connector that looks green and mouldy needs a good clean, wire brush or small file, something thin and sharp of sorts to clean up, else cut it off and replace/repair it.

Had a similar issue with mine, turned out to be a broken wire in the harness
under the inlet manifold
auto elec found it and repaired it
have not had any issues since.
