I believe they were having trouble selling the last few walkies at the end of their run
as the people were waiting for the newly anticipated VN SS crap box!
so they pulled the kits off some of them
there is an article somewhere about it from a magazine cutting bit i can't find it anywhere
I also bleve a few were optioned that way as people thought they were ugly
