Should make a couple more powers than 250! Injectors might be the limiting factor. Hope you told him to keep winding the boost up til it stops making power.

I'd say closer to 350 at the wheels mate, that's a tidy setup and that cam is reasonably suited to that turbo. Injectors shouldn't hold you back from that if they're flowing right.

Keen to see this run again. Should be a bucket of fun no matter what!

After three years of being pushed around, three trips to workshops and waay to many trips on a car trailler the car is running finally but still needs to go on the dyno for a tune. No updates from the shop yet so its a waiting game now

Says s14 in the id ? Haha 2 bar is not shy either. Built motor ? Nice flat torque curve! Bit lower hp than you'd expect for that amount of boost tho

2bar? looks like 1 bar from the graph?

That's a good amount of power, should be pretty damn punchy!

Ahhh total snapper. Looking at the hp graph with the psi axis. 1 bar makes 100x more sense

When they wound up the boost it was misfiring and think it could Be the ignition system letting it down but I've got a msd blaster coil I can put on that should help the spark.

It's a std bottom end still.

He forgot to change the name when he pulled the other car off the dyno and chucked mine on so
It got s14

F**K its good drive again!!

Been really happy with the car since its been back this is probably the best its ever run and i can safely say there is more to come. When it was on the dyno apparently(i wasn't present) it was misfiring and spluttering when it got over 14psi and seems to be due to the ignition system. I'm hoping the blaster coil setup might fix that so for now its off to the auto electricians (yeah not even gonna try and do this myself lol) to check all the wiring on he calais loom is working properly now that the car is running and then happy days i suppose

thinking of doing a coilover setup and was wondering if any has an opinion on brands or good shops to go to around perth

I bought coilovers from a guy on this site, Mathew Larner (VHR32)
Cheaper option. he uses old struts and gets the cut and welded to convert to coilover style struts.

For the rear I didn't go for a full coilover set as I'm personally not sure on what I want to do diff wise yet. But adjustable shocks with probably adjustable height springs may be an option.

I've not installed it all yet, but it was much cheaper than comparative shops considering I got koni items. Maybe hit him up on this site for a quote to compare to what the shops quote you?

Ask yourself, why do you need coil overs?

back from the auto sparky, front electric windows are working, back still needs to have the motors put in, which is not a fun job at all, and all the lights are working as they should.

Pretty keen on getting out and driving it a bit until i have some more money to throw at it.

picked up an old school metal sunvisor over the easter weekend that i'll get fitted soon. Chasing roof racks to suit a vl sedan and some of those old school exterior venetians, the black ones that sit on the outside of the rear window.

Anyone not on the VB-VL cruise should join and come along for some cruises as a CT cruise is becoming more and more a thing of legend rather than a reality
