FS: '87 RB25DET Calais

Factory 1987 White/Silver Calais Auto Turbo.
Have owned this since November 2010. I bought it with no drive line and it now has an RB25DET with manual gearbox from a '96 Skyline.

So much time and effort has gone into replacing or refurbishing parts to get it to the great condition it’s currently in.

2pak respray a few years ago in factory Alpine white over asteroid silver colours, also resprayed rear boot moulds/side skirts/etc, which is all still in great condition.
Clean look one piece ‘VT style’ windscreen seal
Polished VL Calais rims, tyres still have plenty of tread.

Great condition grey velour interior, all electrics work.
Black rear window Venetians
Boss sports steering wheel
Boost gauge
Alpine 4” front speakers
Alpine 6x9 rear speakers on custom parcel shelf
Sony Head unit with CD/Aux in
Original factory Turbo dash badge
Remote central locking/boot release with alarm and immobiliser

Recond LSD diff (near new center) with stock 3.45 gears
Fully rebuilt tail shaft by Final Drive Engineering (in O’Connor) with correct chassis mount spacers
VT twin piston front calipers with EBC Greenstuff pads, 297mm VT rotors with hub adaptors to suit, stainless braided front brake lines from Race Brakes Sydney, hub bearings/seals recently replaced

Suspension renewed including:
King Superlow springs with KYB shocks, shortened rears to suit
KYB front bump stop kits, reconditioned power steering rack with new tie rod ends
Adjustable nolathane front camber/castor strut bearing plates, new ball joints
Complete Superpro front suspension bush kit - Heavy duty Sway bar link kit, Sway bar chassis mount bushes (For original FE2 sway bar), Top Spring Insulator bushes, Inner and outer control arm bushes, caster rod to K-frame bushes.

Also has Nolathane strut brace
Adjustable Nolathane rear panhard rod
Superpro sway bar bushes in rear.

Recently replaced - New VDO internal fuel pump, New Bosch 070 external fuel pump, fuel filter

Recently Replaced - New genuine Holden 3 core radiator from Natrad Joondalup, New gates radiator and heater hoses.

Series 2 R33 Nissan RB25DET with manual gearbox - Has been running max 10psi and with standard ecu. Has done approx 70,000km
Heavy duty Xtreme clutch
All new genuine Nissan parts replaced:
New front main seal
New Rear main seal
New cam seals
New cam tunnel ‘half moon’ seals
New cam cover seals
New turbo line oil/water feed and drain copper washers
New gearbox output seal
Replaced ALL coolant lines with genuine Nissan hoses
New genuine Nissan thermostat
New Nissan water pump
New Nissan timing belt

Replaced all vacuum lines with silicon hoses

Working factory Calais cruise control adapted to RB25DET using Stagea throttle body
3” VL Turbo exhaust with single muffler and stainless tip, dump pipe modified to suit RB25DET. Hiflow cat.
Wrinkle red rocker covers
GKTECH intercooler with modified ‘no holes’ piping kit
K&N Pod filter
Turbotech Boost controller
Yellow Jackets coil packs

Extremely reliable car, sounds great, goes great, even handles alright.
Will be sorely missed. Lots of potential with the RB25DET!

I can tell you everything you want to know about this Calais, otherwise just search the CT forums, as I’ve posted everything regarding work done to it in the past. I’ve got nothing to hide.
