Keeping this thread in the land of the living....
I replaced my headlights on the weekend, way better than the originals. I've kept the TYC glass on for now as the originals aren't in the best shape and need some work. 2 things I found using the complete aftermarket setup: The dust cover that goes on the back where the wires feed through is now loose, I had to tape it on to make it stay in place. Also, the little white pieces that hold the parker globes are not supplied with the aftermarket lights, and my originals were perished (hard, cracked, and just fell apart when I touched them). For now I've had to use tape to bulk up the globe holder so it fits snug and stays in place. I'm about to start the hunt for the piece in question, anyone know if they are still around, and where to get them? |

re- VL headlights
The only realistic way to fix these is to replace the lens and lamp as an assembly.
I was dismayed that the latest Nissan Navaras headlights are as good as the VL's when they are in good condition. The VY's headlamps crap all over them. |
