My VLCT Project
Well after selling my old orange on silver vl turbo, it was only a matter of months before i caught the bug again and needed something to work on on the weekends. So i bought this vlct, and since being a v8 boy growing up, i decided that combining my passion for v8s with my love for vls would be my best option. Hence i am removing the rb30et and replacing it with a built injected 355 stroker. I will keep updated with pics as the project progresses. So far i have removed entire running gear, and will begin some minor works to the bay before it gets sent off to the painters for a complete engine bay makeover.
When i first bought it Engine out ![]()

Cant wait to see this done. Very neat car, S2 beige trim and all.
This turbo conversion was the doner for my car. Keep it updated

Thanks bud. Haven't made any progress on the bay as of yet, but cut and mounted the B&M shifter plate and shifter during the week (still need to cut down the sunglasses holder to suit)

Got a proper start on the bay this week. Started welding up the holes on the passenger side strut tower, cut out a plate to smooth out behind the headlight and blocked up the old intercooler hole on the same side. Engine bay work is a itchbay

Should be good to see with the 355 in it mate, are you going NA or FI ??
Not many VLs on here with V8s in em anymore! Shame those 355's cost so much to build or there might be a little more of them around

Was initially planning on throwing a snail or two on the sides of the motor but time and money (more so the latter) constraints will have me keeping her as a tough NA for the time being. Yeah i agree regarding the rarity of v8 vls on the roads hence my decision to build this

Looks awesome man, only thing is the catch can/lines, why not run a catch can we're the fuse box usually lives and run the lines underneath the manifold? Would look 1000x neater.
