as above it will always be there

'clearing it' is a misnomer and simply means registering the car (already done) but it will always be there and show up on the cars history

that's why these cars (on the register) are always worth lots less

the WOV register is there for a purpose: to show that a car was once 'written off' and has been repaired to a 'satisfactory' standard

you can buy a damaged WOV car, repair and then rego it, except in NSW now, and it remains on the register but can be re registered each year no problems

we all know why you'd want to have it removed from the register completely: to increase its value and saleability but that cannot happen otherwise every person would do the same and the purpose of the register would be negated
