Murray Bridge 2011

Dear Motorsport Enthusiasts’
It comes with the deepest regret from all of us at the Valvoline Autofest Series that we send you this letter.

Due to circumstances beyond our control the 2011 Murray Bridge Autofest that was planned to take place over the weekend of January 29th and 30th now needs to be postponed until further notice.

Some of you are aware of this already, however out of respect for you and your past participation with our event; we deemed it only necessary to send you this letter formally. We apologise for what may seem as late notice and this will explain the reason for not receiving a notice announcing the Murray Bridge Autofest this year to you.
We want you to know that all the preparations were made to host the Murray Bridge Autofest that was scheduled for January 2011 and in no way is the event postponed due to lack of efforts made buy the Autofest organising committee or that of the Rural City of Murray Bridge.
Murray Bridge CEO Damien Moloney said; “The Rural City of Murray Bridge looks forward to working with the Autofest organizers and relevant stakeholders to ensure that the Autofest can continue to be held in Murray Bridge in the future. “
We look forward in announcing a new Event date early in the New Year and ensure that appropriate notice will be given so that all necessary accommodation and travel bookings can be made with minimum fuss.
We also look forward in working with the Rural City of Murray Bridge, Murraylands Tourism marketing, Murray Bridge business houses, Murray Bridge Accommodation Houses, Houseboat Hirers Association, Local Sporting Clubs and many others that have been all part in bringing this popular event to the wonderful City of Murray Bridge.
Sincerely,
Di Adams
For and on Behalf of
Murray Bridge Autofest

cant beleive the police wont help out with the murray bridge auto fest. its only one weekend but is defently one of the most busiest weekends for murray bridge businesses. murray bridge needs as much help as it can to get more tourism here and this is stupid of the police. is there anywhere else the murray bridge autofest can be held with out the police's assistance like possibly the tailem bend track or not really.

They sugested Tailem Bend and the Speedway but we are not interested in these venues. Murray Bridge speedway is a great venue for speedway but is a dust bowl on a hot day and a bog hole on a raining day and Tailem Bend is to far outa town and after all we did a ten year deal with Murray Bridge not Tailem Bend.
