The story behind the Event
Street Commodores magazine is holding its fourth annual Cruise for Charity series this year, starting in Sydney, and then heading to Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Queensland’s Gold Coast and Tasmania to raise money for the Starlight Foundation.

Our first annual Cruise for Charity in 2004 attracted over 150 Commodores, making it the then largest recorded Commodore-only cruise in history and raised $2600 for the Starlight Foundation. In 2005, the second annual cruise smashed that record with over 450 Commodores in attendance and saw Starlight receive a cheque for a whopping $10,831! And that was only in NSW. In 2006 we took the concept national, going to Perth, Melbourne and the Gold Coast in addition to Sydney, drawing over 1500 cars and raising $57,500 for Starlight.

In an effort to up the ante even further for 2007, the forth annual Cruise for Charity is also going to Adelaide and Tasmania, which increases our fund-raising potential on behalf of the Starlight Foundation even further.

Melbourne alone raised over $17,000 and saw over 600 cars attend this massive event.

Street Commodores believes this event is a great way to raise money for a very worthwhile charity while also bringing together the Commodore community in a responsible, healthy manner.

Street Commodores Magazine will be covering this whole event, both in the magazine and on DVD!!!!!
