Its cos the VL turbo is about the only cars they have down there...
I drove down to melb last year, went straight through - left at 6 got there at like 1:30 that night and as I drove in that night to where i was staying I would of seen no less than 10 VLTs that night alone. I also noticed while I was down there a big lack of other imports (skylines, 180's, 300's etc etc) compared to up here. I think it might have something to do with it being easier to import cars here(QLD) or something like that - i remember hearing some reason why.
