I'm far from happy as well ....

Had a similar thing happen a few weeks ago. Ripped the dash apart and took the CD player and Autometer Temp Gauge. Broke the door locks, the door pins on the drivers side and the chrome trim. They also stuffed the ignition barrel and wiring trying to start it. (fuel pump/regulator problem stopped them)

Solution : ( not your 'cup of tea' but it will do me)

Glue dash back together, blank off the holes, and fix wiring (all done). I'm just having a personal MP3 player with FM tuner sitting in the car ( hooked up to speakers ) when I'm in the car and taking that with me.

I can't be bothered anymore - too many things stolen in recent years. I thought I'd got an old Commodore, do a few things to it and drive it round not bothering anyone - boy, was I wrong.... Sydney's full of low-lifes.

XS_PSI 28-11-05 15:46

Hey mate sorry to hear , yeah lowbrowvl im from collaroy plateau on the beaches same thing happened had my 86 corolla (weekday car ) parked out the front of my bedroom window , whilst sleeping someone broke into my car and got all my gauges from my dash (theifes neatly removed tacho and gauges with a screwdriver i had left in my car ) i had taken my new MTX stereo out 1 week b4! they did my bro's car that was parked behind it and my mates car that lives across the road. Got a pretty good idea of the ice junkie that stole it (just cant find him)and before everyone else says did you have a car alarm YES I DID , but being parked under your bedroom window u wouldnt think u need to turn it on!
