Welcome to the club jack I done the same to my billet 31 spline axel I just put it back in and kept driving done last years motorvation and still goin hard

TheChad 14-12-12 10:41

Yeah jack is pushing me to put it back... I have spare axles so I'll probably use them... Can always keep this one as a backup. These are only 24 year old 28 spliners anyway.

genki 14-12-12 18:18

grunter.

VLWAGONIT 14-12-12 18:32

in reality you should probably put some 25 spline axels in it...

TheChad 16-12-12 00:30

lol why? because i'm going to break **** no matter what I do?

Diffs are both at cowleys atm. he goes on holidays over christmas soon so i may not have this back on the road until next year.

TheChad 17-12-12 11:23

Bent pinion?

Spose it could have been worse... At least I didn't Dave Mallon the gears... Not that the end $ result is any different.

rb25vlt8 17-12-12 14:24

Bent pinion ??? Wtf seriouse ??? They were brand new gears aswell went they ??? Maby it's time for a set of r31 gears got mine for $50 and Cowley diff Center told me they were one of the best set of gears he has seen lol

TheChad 17-12-12 20:19

Yeah I'm not exactly sure how it's bent, I have asked for the originals to keep. Getting another new set but this will be the last time I do. They are a bit cheaper ATM, but still expensive.

This is at cowleys so I trust his judgement. Just sick of breaking stupid ****.

rb25vlt8 18-12-12 23:08

9 inch time next !!!! That's what happens when I break my diff

TheChad 13-02-13 10:51

Went for my first drive in close to a year last night.

Not even ashamed to admit this car scares the living **** out of me... 10 months of nothing but a 1.5L carby pulsar of fury to hop into 400+ rwhp was a shock

Down to southwest brakes this weekend (probably) to put my skyline brakes on. Front 4pot and rear 2pot.

caibs 14-02-13 00:41

**** yeah buddy

what ratio did you end up going with?

Whats the go with fitting those brakes mate? i have a set in the shed i want to use on mine eventually

TheChad 14-02-13 10:59

Contact VHR32 on these forums. He sells the front brackets. My advice is get the bigger ones to suit 330mm rotors. Because vn sv5000 rotors bolt right on. Calipers need to be widened but VHR32 will tell you how to do that.

I'm not sure if VHR32 has adapters for the rear yet. But a guy does down in bunbury so I can speak to him and see if he can make more if required.

xAsh- 18-02-13 20:31

I'll be using chasers so 330's are too big, iv e been told these calipers can fit under 15's with a wheel spacer

TheChad 19-02-13 13:14

You can use 296mm disks with a different adapter plate. Message Matt (VHR32). He'll fill you in. May still need spacers for the offset on chasers.

mr_12 20-02-13 10:16

Although i didnt bolt the wheel on, pursuitys on my car fit with the same calipers and vt hub conversion/296mm rotors. Real close though.

TheChad 14-04-13 12:49

No I had an issue with getting the car prepped. Next year!

Jack I will probably be keen, that's the week off yeah?

VLWAGONIT 16-04-13 14:33

yeah next week. i should hopefuly have a few of the issues in the wagon sorted by then and be able to take it down aswel

TheChad 20-05-13 21:18

Well this is running,

On the verge of pulling the boot setup apart though, not happy with it.

Guy who wired it did not do the best job, significant earth leak and pretty sub standard fuel system wiring in general.

Also re-arrange the layout, I wasn't specific about where to put things so the easiest job of smack bang in the middle of the boot was selected, and it's rendered the boot useless. I'd like to move it up to behind the rear seats and box it away so I can have some boot function back, and put the carpet back in. While i'm at it I reckon i'll get it all redone in hard line. bitches love hard lines
