Jonno's Berlina Turbo

This is my Berlina, converted turbo.
Just a standard turbo setup at the moment bolted onto a S2 high compression setup with a darkhalf ecu and turbo injectors.
Sitting on King Spring Lows with Noltec 4mm spring seats and the 16" mags.

Just got a Pioneer headunit, front 4" 2-ways, soundstream 6x9s in the rear running off a soundstream amp.
Just a neat daily driven VLBT. :)

Dynoed last friday.

Plan on fitting a 3 inch exhaust system, tidying up the engine bay a bit and having the bumper bars resprayed soon.
Will try to get some more pictures from a better camera.
Cheers.

agreed... great colour combo too btw

a 3" exhaust should see an extra 10 kw or so... once youre getting up to the 12 psi mark thats all the power you will probably see with the standard turbo... 170 atw's will be pretty good considering the mods you have

Weezy 11-06-08 21:45

Pick me up and we'll get some decent skid action on camera :D.

Is it me, or is that cooler sitting off center Jonno dodgy **** :p

VLPSI88 11-06-08 21:56

Did another dyno run a couple months after that one, read 169rwkw on 10psi. Still haven't put a 3inch exhaust on yet :o

Will post printout when I get a chance.

Weezy 06-12-08 18:53

Head gasket?

Jonno 07-12-08 12:20

Nope, no damage to the head gasket. Coolant hasn't been entering the combustion chamber. Must be a crack between a coolant gallery and the oil system. Already suspected a crack, since the car wasn't running rough at all, just getting milky oil.

Will rebuild the head next week, send it out to be crack tested, decked and have the valves reseated. Might clean a few things up in the bay and do a bit of porting of the manifolds while its out.

Weezy 07-12-08 13:33

Sounds good man. Doubt it'll be ready before my cruise tho :p

Jonno 07-12-08 21:38

Hoping to have it back together in a couple weeks, these things never really go to plan though :p

Weezy 07-12-08 21:49

As soon as you slap a turbo on a car nothing ever goes to plan....

Jonno 07-12-08 22:55

Nope.

Was fairly suprised how well mines handled it so far, even this cracked head wasn't caused by boost and I was running 10psi on a Non-intercooled N/A for 3 months...

Found them...!

Spewin man, at least you have found the problem tho, Ill try and have you a new rocker cover to slap on with the new head :)
