View Full Version : Christmas Special!! No Hole Intercooler Kits $416!! Group Buy!!
WHY WOULD YOU CUT HOLES IN YOUR CAR??
Here is a brief run down.
We sell Hybrid kits, but they require 1 hole to be cut in the chassis (ILLEGAL), they require you to remove the air con and they require you to remove your air box (pod filter and intercooler in many states is ILLEGAL). BUT there is not really any other cheap option.... Or is there???
We have developed a kit from scratch to your specifications. The front mount intercooler measures 600*230*76mm's and uses Trust style end tanks. The end tanks are polished aswell as the piping, the piping is also mandrel bent aluminium and has minimal visable weld marks (as seen in the pictures). The pipe work is all 2.5" and is designed to support 300+ rwkw's. The kits allow you to keep aircon, keep your stock airbox, and there is no need for any holes to be cut in your car.
We deal direct with the factories in Asia and also deal direct with the customers (you guys) to help keep the prices down. This kit will retail for $649 but will be available for calaisturbo.com members for $599, or $416 for the first 20 people in this group buy.

NOTE:
---- The kit in only available for $416 with BLAC silicone hoses
---- The kit is also be bead rolled on the edges of all the piping to ensure no pipes pop off under high boost levels.
---- Also note that the top pipe which goes to the throttle body (the main pipe that is visible) has NO [ZERO] visable weld marks.
After the group-buy the price will be back to $599 for calaisturbo members and $649 retail.

We will set the end date at December 31st or as soon as the 20 spots are filled.
This will not be extended, will not be repeated (as we are almost out of VL kits anyways) and I doubt you'll ever find a VL intercooler kit this cheap again.
As soon as we have the 20 people the orders will be sent out (or we get to December 31st first)

We certainly didn't plan on dropping the price so low but we have a massave shipment of new stock coming that needs to be paid for so we go below cost in order to clear goods and get some turnover.
These things happen and I am sorry for that.

yes u can but u will have to measure ure afm and then cut ur piping.

Cheers wanna_rio, I knew that but it doesn't matter if the piping is 2.5, 3" ect does it?
don't think so as iv'e seen it done with these kits, maybe depends on the size of silicone joiners? like u may need a 2.5" that goes into 3"
Yeah thats what I was thinking. If only this kit was 3"
i had my afm in the piping all u need is 2 silcon hoses 2.5 to 3 inch, make sure u use a metal pod adapter not plastic and some good clamps if ur gonna run high boost

Antranick u would have to cut up piping, do wot ima do, make another pipe identical to the top pipe we get from this, but cut it up for AFM, Then we can does hard and wen we get cannaried put original pipe back on..

wouldnt be that much..i havnt gone and asked yet, but how good would it be make it exact same but AFM spot, rolld n **** so it doesnt pop off.. ill go ask a local place n tell ya how much it would be
Yeah, I spoke to Dixie about it. He told me he did the 2.5" to 3" hose but the AFM keept coming off on high boost and said to get a piece of 3" piping and weld it into the 2.5" and then attach the AFM.

This has now ended and all kits were sent out late today. I will start contacting the people for pickup also.

just a tip for others...on the foto with the maron vl that has ur kit on the pipe comming off turbo is ontop of the aircon pipe....wen i put it on it was ontop but didnt line up properly so i put it underneath..ballbreaker but its way better. is this right way to set it up...btw so fu ckn happy with it man!!

Does any of the metal reinforcement attached to the bar need to be trimmed? I put the intercooler in as far back as I could (so that the rear of the cooler is touching the front part of the air con fan)- and the front of the intercooler would be sitting out too far to let the bar be put back on if it was installed in that position.
Or does the intercooler need to be layed back- how far back do the holes need to be drilled as I couldn't find any information about this in the kit?
Any help would be appreciated- you guys don't seem to be having any trouble putting them in with the air con fan still in place.
i cut some of the bumper. the black bit in the bumper so u can just see threw into cooler, i had it like 2mm off the aircon bit.

You can either trim the bumper or replace the fan with a thinner thermo from supercheap (we found some there for $50).
That should do the trick :)

Boat captain 10-01-07, 12:00 little tip for you guys who have just put the cooler on. The pipe that goes to your intake manifold must have some clearance above the dizzy or else it has a tendancy to remove one of your spark plugs leads all by itself. :D i found out the hard way yesterday :D

sorry, what i wrote may be a bit misleading. i did have to cut the inlet holes or whatever they are and also had to cut the bottom of the bar as well but once thats done, it all fits snug. i didnt have to do any major chopping.
