1984 Holden VK Calais
Resprayed 12 months ago Original Interior Three owners Originally EFI six cyl auto, 202,000 klm’s before engine conversion.

ENGINE: VN commodore 304 block, 0.030 bored, C.O.M.E 355 stroker crankshaft, keith Black hypereutectic pistons, come streetmaster camshaft and lifters, JP oil pump. Redline Hi-winder intake manifold, rebuilt Holley 650 double pumper HP, K&N airfilter, Pacemaker extractors, 2 ˝ inch single system exhaust with 3 inch tip, rebuilt VN heads, oil/air breather tank, Zenith H.E.I Chev distributor modified to suit holden, bocsh plug leads, Mallory 140gph electric fuel pump, Holley fuel regulator, remote mount fuel filter, new mounts and nearly all new bolts.
Balanced by C.O.M.E, machine work by Cesco, assembly by Shaws Auto Centre, tuned by Howell Automotive, all done under 10,000 klm’s since built.

GEARBOX: T5 5 speed manual gearbox, extreme exedy clutch kit(10,000klm’s), machined flywheel, Dellow automotive crossmember and gearbox mount.

DIFF: Standard six cylinder diff, 3.08 ratio.

SUSPENSION: Kings springs(lows) front & rear, KMAC adjustable strut tops, 26mm front sway bar with nolathane bush’s, nolathane rear swaybar bush’s(16mm), whiteline adjustable panhard rod, all done under 5000 klm’s, Monroe senatrac shock absorbers unsure of age but good condition. . Calais 15 inch alloys with New(under 5000klm’s) Bridgestone G-Grid directional tyres(225/60/50). Standard four wheel discs. Included but not fitted are VL turbo calipers, new caliper seal kits, new Vl turbo discs and new brake pads

EXTRAS: Dashmat, speco 4” tacho with shiftlight, HDT headlight protectors, two point immobilizer, remote central locking and alarm with battery backup, power steering, electric windows and mirrors, towbar, new maintenance free 530cca battery.

BAD POINTS: Two blemishes on paintwork( top of LHF guard & RHR pillar), LHR seatbelt does not retract, speedo not connected, gearlever linkages may need adjustment, not yet registered as a V8.

OTHER: All new quality fluids, new cables, hoses and bolts(mainly genuine holden parts) used through out conversion. Very powerful, ideally needs stronger diff with lower gearing. Professionally wired up. Folder full of receipts dating back about 19 years. Original Calais 4 speaker stereo(FM not working). Excellent original interior( tiny wear mark on drivers seat)

Rebuilt VLT calipers, new vlt discs and pads now fitted.

Also now registered as a V8 with 7 months V8 rego.

Asking $13,500 or best offer

Very tidy bay man, what power did it make and I reckon that single 2.5" system will be choking that 355 to death....

The tuning shop had recently moved into new premises so the dyno wasnt installed when tuned. I asked for an esimate and they said over 200kw atw.

I was going to get a 3 inch but the exhaust guy convinced me that i only needed the 2.5. Looking back i should have gone the 3 inch but it's not hard to change if i decide to.
