You obvioulsy have to cut the reo of the front bar don't you??

Do the brackets that bolt the reo onto the chassis of the car get in the way of piping etc??

And is cutting the reo illegal?, as wouldn't it take some of the structual impact integriy of the car away?

Hi Alex, you don't need to cut any of the chassis or the bar reo at all. As you've said, this is illegal to do, and our kit is 100% LEGAL!!

The intercooler bolts onto the light support and is VERY easy to install.

great kit greg, everything fits nicely, only extra thing you need to do is drilll 2 holes for the cooler and get a longer rubber hose for the vacum thingy.
the kit is a little tight making tightening clamps cramp. but nothing to worry about. took me close to 5 hours to install. lol. too much mucking around.
Guys, the price for the kit is amazing. anyone out there after a simple bolt on fmic kit you cant get better then this. value for money.

was so excited quickly put on headlight and took it for a spin. 6psi with a pod now and i get this sick ass flutter. mate lives on a service road and gunning it up and back. saw a celicasupra turbocharge on the main road. lol. he was giving me a look. think he wanted to run. lol
anyways did it at a mates house so didnt have my camera handy. but i'll post a pic of my bay soon. i'm also gonna be putting the afm in the cooler pipe sometime this week. i'll let you guys know how it goes.

dont know why, but time flew quickly. started at 4:00pm finish at like 9:00pm
i think it took me so long because i put the pipes in first just too see if it align and fit perfect first. i worry a lot. then i took everything apart, drilled the two holes and place cooler on. then refit the pipes.

if i were to do it again i'll be alot quicker. lol. i think

It will need significant mods to the top section to work. It could be done, but it's certainly not going to be a bolt on kit.

Hi George I can do the kit (minus cooler) for $399 but the thing is that the outlets of those coolers are in a different position. Thus the piping won't line up 100% and will need modding. People in the past have done this, but it isn't going to be a straight fit like with our intercooler.

The group buy ended over a month ago, and Greg has posted in other threads that due to the cost of manufacturing, shipping etc going up, he doesn't think they will EVER be at $416 again.

I'm sure he will answer the question himself, but that's what i last read.

I dont mind paying full price but it never hurts to ask! Greg, are your exhausts far off, be good to get cooler kit, exhaust at the same time (its going on a stocker) only problem being if you are going to do wagon exhausts!

Started fitting my kit on the weekend and it just doesnt seem right to me. Can someone let me know the exact way it is supposed to fit up.

Does it run from the turbo to the passenger side of the cooler and then back around or is it the other way around? As the tight bend that runs into the passenger side cooler sits right out (in line with the front tyre) when its hooked up to the turbo pipe). It looks as though it fits a little better running the hot side through to the drivers side and then back through the passenger side and to the manifold.

Also the tags on the long return pipe are they ment to bolt straight onto the radiator lower support panel? As it looks as though it isnt going to get close enough.

Yes turbo to passenger side. By the sounds of it you have the second S bend pipe the wrong way around. The weld on that pipe should be under the guard not in the engine bay. The only thing with that turbo pipe is it has to sit up on an angle to clear the AC line.

As for the other lower pipe the tabs are there just for mounting brackets onto. They dont go to the lower support panel. With mine I made a small 10cm long bracket and thats bolted to the lower support panel.

Take the time to fit it right and you will not have an issue. I have not had a problem at all with this kit.

i think he is only making 3inch cat backs from memory, as there is already a few compainys that sell 3inch off the shelf front pipes, just not in stainless i dont think.

wow... quite an effort to make it fit 2.5hrs and thats without removal or fitment of the front bar. not enough silicone or clamps. and there really needs to be 2 more reducers. as the end tanks on the cooler are 2 3/4" and the piping is 2.5" so yea. just letting you know. thanks to hingo we made it fit. cheers.

Looks like TNT were rough with the box (had Fragile marked on it), as the sides where the cooler ends were sitting was starting to tear.

Overall though good kit for the price (pre-buy), just wish the packaging was a little better, especially if I had of paid full price.

Unfortunately our piping kit only fits with our exclusive 895x230x76mm core, although there have been a few customers that have purchased our kit and modified the piping to suit a 600x300x76mm.

I haven't personally fitted the piping kit to a 600x300 cooler but as the 600x300 will sit 70mm's lower and be approximately 50mm's shorter on each side the difference will have to be made up somewhere.

Good luck with au thermos Bogz. They dont work real well on VLT's. STD fan clutches are still being ran on low 9 second vlt's.

I would imagine so but as we've never fitted one to a Stagea, I can't be 100% sure.

Generally you won't even notice the different but at 15psi the kits were tested to have a .2psi of a drop from one end of the kit to the other.

I don't know what everyone else does but i took out the headlights to drill the holes and to get the bolts in to mount the intercooler to the panel under the lights.

I would however suggest replacing your AC thermo fan with a smaller model to avoid having to trim the bar reo.

Apart from that, the kit is a straight bolt on with no hidden secrets.

I'm sure others on here have done this. (I remember seeing a thread a while back but I can't seem to find it now)

We're working on a no holes kit now for the Silvias and skylines.

They should be ready in around 6 months time.

Yeah it was all removed, pipping, ac radiator, ac motor, everything, but it was all done when i bought it!

For a Mazda 626 I would recommend the 450*300*76mm intercooler core.

Unfortunately we don't have any of these in stock but you should be able to find one on eBay for under $200.

At this stage there are no plans to stop making the kits so you should be fine.

We've got far too many extra coolers from people splitting up the cores.

The best we could do is take off $100 for removing the intercooler from the kit.

so, judging by the picks, you need to cut the metal behind the front bumper?. the metal bit that the plastic bumpers bolt onto? and this is legal? it appears that where you cut it doesnt change anything about how the metal bolts to the plastic and also to the supports, so i spose it's cool.

also i take it you have to remove the plastic thing with the two flaps under the car? what is that anyway? stone deflectors or something? or is it just there to embarass vl drivers who park a little close to something low so it sounds like we've just scraped our front end off.

You dont need to cut the steel reinforcement the cooler will fit however, not if you have the factory aircon fan. You need a slimline thermo for that or just remove it and be done with it.

The black plastic flap is a dust gaurd it goes in the bin when you do the cooler

Besides the 2 holes for the intercooler the only other modification required is to either remove or replace the fan for the air con.

No structural modifications need to be made (hence the kit is 100% legal)

Many people have but the extend of the modifications will depend on what turbo you're running, the position of the turbo and what not.
