I lost ya's at Springwood, at that stop sign. Me VLKING and ON PSI all waited around while the probs with VLKING got sorted. After that i went all the way up to Mt Vic, waited till 3.00pm, but saw no one. Arrhwell, still a fantastic day.... Do I hear VL cruise #4???? :D

Oh and by tha way who was tha dude with tha Video camera? hope some of those clips find there way here! :D

Good cruise. Had near 20 cars at the start of the day! Too many cars for Wentworth Falls and Katoomba car parks to handle! The weather was awesome (nice cold mountain air) - thank god it didn't rain like the Anzac Day cruise.

Myself and my brother (JET-88C) had a little bit of fun on the way home :)

good tern out was my first time on a vl criuse had a few problems with car getting 2 hot thanks 4 all the guys 4 helping me out

i dont no 4 sure man its not running the best i dont no 2 much about vl turbos yeah on psi was looking at it 4 me he sed i need new spark plugs new spark someother stuff done 2 it its been runing way 2 much boost its been running max boost like 20 or 22psi he was saying that the woner before me took something that lets u run max boost all the time yeah so im going 2 have 2 get a good service and get all the spark leads changed im hoping it dont cost me 2 much eny 1 no the best place 2 go i took it 2 rockos performance like about 9 months ago but on psi sed he must have done a good job he would have picked up on the problems eny 1 no the best place 4 me 2 take it 2 get fixed good

Thanks to the huge turnout, everyone played a part in making this day great and enjoyable.
This is by far the biggest cruise we've had so far car-wise... twenty I counted from Homebush to Katoomba.
If it wasn't for some bad luck and other commitments there probably would have been an extra two nice VLs as well, but thats life aye.

Big thanks to the boys from distant North and South for travelling that extra mile to join the cruise.

Can't wait for the next cruise...
Next November cruise will be to Palm Beach, thru the Kuringai Chase Natio Park, and a lot of cars will be much mightier then, let me tell you.
In the meantime, do not rule out any other little events like drag meets or car shows etc.
I will all let you know with my famous banner when it'll be on.

Just had a look at the pics, some nice cars there. Never seen such a long line of VLs on the road!

Good to see some people took their G/Fs along ( VLKING photo).

Did you stop and have a BBQ or similar? Would make it a more social day for the girls too.

yeah playing with motorbikes on the M4 was fun :D

after we got back to sydney went back thru wollongong and had a play around with a walky, was pretty fun..

the guy with the halequin vl posts as walkie_17 .... he lives in my area and we have stopped to chat before.... sunno why he was shy... give us insight walkie_17 ?? maybe he was "under the thumb"?? lol!

VLKING you need ignition leads, spark plugs and a wastegate actuater hose, you'll probably want a boost controller as well. Get the mechanic to check all the connections and sensors as well, any performance workshop could do this, just tell them your on a budget.

If you want to run big boost I would be putting the car on a dyno as well!

i am extremely suprised at the manner in which everyone behaved themselves, i thought there was going to be a bit of action, but to no evail. i suppose if there wasnt so much traffic.

VLKING, apart form new leads, plugs etc, you badly need to flush your whole coolant system, do a pressure test and maybe even need a new radiator. In the mean time, empty the water and fill it up with coolant. try to do as much yourself as possible, and dont bodge it up. workshops cost a fortune no matter what budget you are on. let me know by pm how much they want to charge and i might be able to help you out.

the guy hanging out of the car taking pics was boostedcal, there is a link to most of the pics in the photos thread, i have more but i ran out of webspace:( Boostedcal had a video camera too , he will probably upload some clips or maybe send out vids i dunno, he got about an hours footage.

if anyone wants all the pics i can burn a cd and send it to you.

jet pilot.. my car went ok i think. was getting a bit hot tho... getting 1 or 2 16inch thermo fans to keep it cool..

started my new job today so it wont be to long before it has some sort of forced induction..

boys theres a new vl calais turbo comnig out..this ones a real head turner...and also a 10 second potential screamer....ill keep you posted...the car is in the tuning stages..same set up as ono-30t,,,same mechanic back yard builder.

No worries mate, glad you didn't kill it....vl.turbo is right, definately run coolant and try to do most things urself.... the service manual, and this site help heaps


As for the video...there are lines all across it, the old man gave me an old tape, i am working on getting some stills from it, but maybe not this time. I will have convinced him that digital is the way to go before the next cruise and borrow it.... love all the pics that everyone got.....i hope to have my car on the next one aswell
