hey guys ive done alot of oil changes in my time but never had so much difficulty removing the screw for the sump.. i tried it and tried it and it wouldnt move i even use WD40 to loosen it and still nuthing i was just wondering if anyone had encountered this problem and knew wat i could do about it????

You have got the sump plug and not something else, right? What were u using to try and unscrew it? I assume you were only using a ring spanner or a short ratchet? Get a 14mm socket, whack it on the end of a breaker bar and as long as the edges of the sump plug aren't rounded it should come off easy as.

I'm pretty sure there's nothing else down there that could be confused for a sump plug, but you have to ask these things just in case... :)

yer i know anti clokwise and a 14mm was 2 big thats wat i use to use. i got the ring spanner which was the same size but it wouldnt budge.. even tried a fkin hammer to hit the spanner but still no good

yeh id try useing a pipe wrench ie. footprints, stilsons. that would get nearly any thing off rounded or squared.

if a 14mm socket , ring spanner didnt work , u got the wrong thing mate unless the sump plug is rounded , if so try using a deep impact socket or bashing a 13mm ring spanner on or socket with a rachet with a hammer
