Junior Pacs silver RX3 ROD09Z ran a 9.3 - fastest of the night.

GOLD VL ONO30T sat on the line stalling it up and then hit the transbrake for an excellent 10.5 pass.

About time there was some decent VL numbers in Sydney *ducks*

nxtime(charlie)...that was the driver first pass in the car fully tuned,no transbrake was used and the car ran 22psi,it turned the tyres short shifted 3rd and wasnt sure where the finish line was but in the end resulted in the gold vl running a 10.5 @ 129 mph..im sure that car will better that...btw..no nos

Nah still doesn't make it the fastest in NSW. The fastest is currently BOOSTN which ran a 10.2@???mph, and has since evaporated, despite the fact it was supposed to come out and run an easy 9 second pass with major Nitrous on board.

I dont think BOOSTN ever run at Eastern Creek. If not, then it is the fastest NSW registered VL, but not the fastest NSW VL :D

Back in the day's that thing was driven everywhere. It was a very quick/powerful car, having ran a best of 11.3, and he wasn't afraid to use it regularly on the street.

One of our mate's ran an 11.7 best time last night in his Skyline GTS-T (FLINLO)

and blew a clutch suposedly during the run but claimed he also spun a bearing later that nite whilest cruzing

Turn's out it was piston ring's done and the 'supposed' triple plate clutch these guy's should've gave him. He'll be back on the road this weekend

It's not really Zoom's fault but. It's the owner's of the car that talked it up.
Zoom have just got the job of showing the car and putting down the detail's that the owner's specify.

it just like dyno figures, they aremost probably done on those happy dynos that are currently in operation in sydney and melbourne. i remember a vl 23QOUT, that supposedly made around 300 and something horse and was still running a single spinner, no front mount and 10psi (featured instreet commodores mag - now those guys are full of s@#t). I hardly ever believe dyno figures in mags etc.

Yeah I mentioned this in another post about the car. The magazine stated that it made 400hp (flywheel) and from what I could see, the car was running a standard T03 and NO intercooler. I wish I knew his secret, so I could run low 12's as well! :D

and if you look at the next issue, its got a yellow vl, (i think with a walkie kit) that makes the sames bulls@#t claims.

Hey sometimes, the magazine bull****s the power and specs.
I remember Rob (OMY-11S) telling me his specs on the diff, and they put other specs becoz they wouldn't believe him.
Rob, if youre reading, I think it was the diff was a detroit locker with 4.11s on the specs, but you told me it was just an LSD with 3.89 (I think). but anyways it was totally different to what you had on the car, am I right?

Yeah I remember that one vl.turbo. A yellow Walkinshaw kitted Calais Turbo with an exhaust and high flow turbo (no cooler?) making something like 200kw at the back wheel's!

from how many vl's i have seen, been in, read about and helped with, magazines are way off the case with power figures.

but anyway i could bitch all day about the bulls@#t that goes in magazines. i could be a 20 topic.

the mag said it was a 9 inch with detroit locker when infact it was a factory turbo diff with mini spool with 3.89 and they also said i had k mac suspension when infact it was standard bodyroll vl suspension...i wasnt happy but hey the damage was done
