I was just wondering, anyone know the current quickest Walkinshaw in Australia?
I know of MR355 that was supposedly being prepped to be a 10 second runner with it's auto box. Did this ever eventuate?

Wouldn't have a clue.... Couple of 11-12 sec Walky's over here in WA, but im not sure about the rest of Australia...

Would be nice to find out though... Anyone know?

I also heard a "rumour" that involved someone in Melbourne slotting in an RB30ET in a genuine Walkinshaw. I know there was one featured in Zoom I think ages ago that copped a Toyota Supra engine after the original was swipped.
Don't know if these car's will surface at the track, but here's hoping

I saw MR355 at the summernats in January, ver nice Walkinshaw, even has airbrushing on the bonnet!

A Walkinshaw on the Gold Coast has been fitted with the JUDGE's motor with new turbos, allbeit with the help of Kevin Kent Race Engines. With the potential of the motor, surely this car could be a contender for the quickest.

Nah we want the quickest original obviously. If it was for a faker, Vas could just put a Walkinshaw bodykit on his Calais and be the quickest

i know a footy player that ran 11.9 in his walky..jack elsegood from manly but it got stolen soon after...he forgot to tell the tracker company about his change of phone number,the thiefs called him up saying if he wanted his car back he would have to give them $5,000 in cash..anyways he did and he got it back...the tracker kept working till they removed it 1 hour and 27 min later after the car was first broken into.

What about that Walkinshaw with the plates RLP155 that's been featured in heap's of mag's with the 8 throttle body injection, with that old guy that own's it. Hasn't that thing pumped out a good number?

Yes the walky that has had the OLD JUDGE motor fitted to it is a different one from the one that was originally getting the twin turbos fitted.The one that was talked about in street commodres was danes.But the one that has todd's old motor in it is DJ's,it was at summernats with PUNISH AND MY GTS

That Walky with the 8 throttle body manifold would certainly be the quickest road registered Walky around a race track. A few months back he was talking about a couple of turbochargers. Was talking to him last night and should have asked him if he was going ahead with the idea.

Well he has owned it since new and he started modifications during the first week of owning it. Money seems not as bad when spread out over all the years. Take a look at the money spent on some cars within a year or two. Some things have been done many times to get it to the stage where it is now.

According to information given some 2 years ago the quickest original Walkie is the one we now own (for sale) as it was featured in Street Commodore a few years ago (front page) she is half restored and viewable at www.thesafehaven.org

Yeah, a very nice ride that Turbocharged Walkie, but no quarter mile time's, but with that much power, the street would be enough fun.

yeah sounds like a beast, that jakes performance must be able to build em in there sleep cause they seem very busy with turbo v8s...

yeah, the one jake built was a genuine Walky.. i have seen it in action and its ****ing awesome.. sounds so good and launches so hard.. i went and saw jake about getting a similar engine package.. this was back in march and he was booked out for 4 months and said he would be pushing it to have it ready by summernats.. the only people that work there are jake and his missus.. he has noone to help him do the work..

That walky from the ACT is also daily driven. But its not for sale anymore.

it does have over 400 at the wheels? why wouldnt a 10 be possible..

doesnt it make 600hp at the engine so doesnt that mean it about 300+ not 400hp

so say if it has 600 at the engine, and working of 30% drivetrain loss, it still has 420rwhp

That drag Walky belongs to Brian Bennett and it runs a 500+ cube nitrous injected engine that has run an 8.1 on only it's second pass.

The bang at the Supernats was from a nitrous backfire that blew the scoop up but it didn't kill the engine or anything.

that ryda walky has a wrx bonnet scoop in the front bar i was actually working at the place he got it done at i remember him saying something about oil cooler cant say it looked too good but definately unique
