Hi everyone,
I own a one owner walkinshaw and are wondering what should be the correct / original colour of the ashtray covers in the back that would have come out from the factory? Can you get genuine HSV gear knobs anymore and the last stupid question has anyone got a new console lid.
Its just that the ashtray covers on the back doors are a light blue colour and have been told that is how they came out .... I find this really hard to believe.I didn't get to ask the original owner .... so can any one solve this mystery?
Thanks

Hi There,

The ash trays in the back should be grey to match the door handles but you will find alot of them have a lighter blue ash tray instead. This is a common issue with them as mine are still grey but my other mate's who also have Walkinshaw's have light blue ones. I was told that they have gone this colour if cars have been subject to being out in the in the open light for a period of time ( I find this hard to believe but have been advised this by many other people).

As for the Gear knob just keep an eye on Ebay as there was one on there a few weeks ago and the console lid you may find hard to get, but as these cars are based on a berlina you maybe able to find a decent one at a Holden Wreckers.

Good Luck

Jason
