Hi all,
I just traded my 87 VL (peice of **** one) for a 90 VN. Now the VN has problems (dont they all?)
at first, the alternator ws ***in missing, replaced that with a reco one, next, put a brand new battery in it, put about 20leters of fuel in it, it has about 1/4 of gas in the tank too.
Because the car hasnt been run in about 8months, the fuel tank was completely empty (but as I said, I put 20leteres into it).
At first, just the radiator fan would go on as you turn the ignition..after some time of keeping on trying it, the engine cranks over...however, the motor just wont fire up!. It just keeps on cranking and cranking!, both on fuel and gas! (actually nearly comes alive on gas). And this is the weird thing...when youve got the ignitio on start, and its cranking, you put the acelirator down and it kills the motor? WTF?
Put the acelirator down, and crank it, nothing happens (motor dead), let go of the acelirator, motor cranks.
what is going on?
WHat I think the problem is, its not getting any fuel into the engine as you cant put the acelirator down for it to come through, and its just not getting enough in there.--am I near the problem at all?
If anyone could give me any kind of help, that will be great.
