im in the middle of changing a calais turbo i just bought to v8. its pretty simple.... change k frame to a v8 one and your nearly there. main difference is battery tray is on opposite side.. i just removed battery tray & put my battery in the boot.......

You can put ant engine which was a standard factory option in t hat car..Putting in a V8 is easy as, main things you need to change is - V8 springs, battery tray, and wiring to suit, gearbox ,ceoss member and tailshaft/diff to suit, I recommend just redoing all your underbonnett wiring to keep it neat and tidy.

hope u guys are replacing the rb30t's with healthy 308s or you will be disappointed with the performance downgrade!

yeah theres no way you'd want to put a stock 304 in place of a turbo..

but god knows it'll last 3 times longer :D

but yea when a car hits boost it's a pretty cool feeling, its hard to simulate that in a v8! i just made sure i have heaps of torque all across the rev range, i'm pumping out around 6700nm @ around 4000rpm.
