Hey fellas,
MCK is having a cruise this saturday night 7pm at ETSA stadium car park (mile end) next to bunnings.
the club i think is starting to get some good cars out, not just v6 commodores.
ill be out there at the start to see what its like so if you come along ill be in a raven mica VT TT come say hi.

and it was cheap cheap lol, yeh its not that quick at the moment, i decided the bloke at AA is a clown and probably going to run a haltec ECU on it now,

LOL, i know what you mean about ASE, not cheap at all. That's who done all my custom work. But, you do get what you pay for.(in most cases anyway).
Doesn't matter if its done in the backyard, or at a well known performance workshop, if it works well, who cares.

Dave at ASE, ive heard some dodgey **** about him. mates experiences with him etc. and from my experiences, he talks a bit of ****. i dunno, maybe im doin him a disservice, but ive seen some of his work on mates cars and wasnt all that convinced, neither were they. he did a reasonable job on my cooler tho.
If i can make it, i will.(weather permitting).

I was lucky, i had dave do all my work when he was at Lonsdale.It was just him,and another guy used to help out a bit.
So Dave did all the work himself basically, and it was killer.My car was there for about 5 weeks, but it was well worth it. I think he tried to get to big too soon. They moved down to Edwardstown, had a number of guys working for him and the QUALITY dropped. Should've stayed small, and he'd be booked out for years!! I'm glad i got all mine done when i did.
I know another guy who does all the same stuff as ASE, does killer work and half the price.Its just him, and he takes pride in what he produces.

Since we're talking about workshop's i thought i might throw in a bit of input. Myself and my best mate have been burnt, ripped off whatever you want to call it a few times in the last couple of years. We now think we have found a quality workshop with guys who know their Shi* and don't charge through the roof. It called Graham west's Workshop on Marion rd at Parkholme. It has a 4WD and 2WD dyno and they only charge $45 for a power run and $70 for a dyno tune (cheapest i've heard of). My mate got his car done yesterday, they were quick, didn't hold onto the car for ages and did a good job. Their dyno is the one that was used at autosaloon.
is that the place that always has the wrx's in it?
well it had one there when i was there yesterday (thursday)
dunno though if they always have them there, probably is though cause i think they r the only other 4wd dyno in sa apart from turbo tune and from what i've heard you either love them or hate them!
dave at turbo tune is a good bloke. ive taken my car there a few times and he's fixed my problem and sent me on my way for nothing. however, he is a very close business associate of my uncles, which probly helps.

no my car is quite average! straight but crappy paint.
gets me to work on time every day and goes ok for being basically stock.

He used to have a TE Gemini with a 350 in it, but now is putting a 13BT in it.
As for that workshop your mentioning, those prices are very good.
power runs are normally around the $60 mark everywhere else.If your happy with them, stay with them mate.

Didn't end up going on either cruise.
My mates car (hi psi) from the forums.It is a all white SL with VT SS rims. Very tidy car, and it goes damn fast.Best run to date is 11.2 @ 125mph. Has a bigger stall in it now, and will runs 10's easy when he races it next.
i ended up cruising into town/bay around 9:30pm, not really a lot out, started to rain a little, so went home around 11:30pm. Didn't want to race anyone with slippery roads, it's bad enough in the dry!!

Yeah, that's him(Rob).
I know Angelo as well, nice car. Dont know about 300rwkw though, its never been on a dyno, or been raced, to my knowledge!! It is quick though, and Angelo is a good bloke too.

yeah, i speak to angelo quite a bit. his car goes like a jet. and he says that his mate rob's car is even faster. but its in pieces atm.

YEP, white over silver calais, with 18" genuine WH Grange rims.(10 spoke)
It does have a GT35 turbo.

lol, nah, he'd already smoked us, i was passenger in an xr6t. and we gave him a rolling start, and he screamed off sounding like a jet, so i wanted to know what was in it.
yes the cruise was crap, but the burnouts were good but they are all RCK blokes who do them anyway, wish i went on the old man genIII cruise instead.

We haven't had any decend cruzin weather lately. We got to all meet up one night
for a cruz (the car is going) noone really cruzes much anymore and the mck & rck cruzes are not for me (i'm sure you agree) Ill get Angelo and you guys and maybe cruz up to victor one sunday?

weather been very average the last few weekends, but cruzin to victor with all of us would be good a idea. Be a good run for the VLT's, clean some cobwebs out!!!!
Just have to organise a weekend for it, let us all know what you're thinking.

yeah, i knew u were joking. ur mates in the car had a laugh if i remember rightly. u told me at the time u had 285rwkw. it sounded like a jet. i was very interested in what u were running, which is why i asked, but at the same time, trying not to come across as one of those wa*nkers who asks every1 on the road that same question.
was a dark blue xr6t. my mates car. xr6ts are good, but vlts are better ;)
ive heard rob's vl is an animal. angelo has told me. id feel like the black sheep cruising with u 3 guys. my stock turbo running 14 psi, trying to keep up with 3 vls pushing out close to or more than 300rwkw. id get my ass kicked. might have to start spending some more money on my car soon i reckon.

Yeah, robs is very quick.I wonder if i've made any ground on him with my new cam change? I guess i'll wait and see what it pulls on DEC 6th.

Shortly after xmas, i'm pulling the engine out, and doing a bullet proof bottom end.Then its going on the engine dyno for a real tune.Looking for 600-650HP, and ultra low 10's.
