what sort of braided hose should i use from the rocker cover to the catchcan?
Plenty of ways to do it.
I prefer running dual individual AN-10 or AN-8 lines from the rocker cover on a RB30. The system isn't overly pressurised so push on fittings and the usual blue hose will suffice, however if you want it to look a million dollars nothing beats using braided hose and the correct hose ends.
On a twin cam head you need to utilise the factory drain, a drain from the rear welsh plug in the head and two AN-10 feeds from the rocker cover. It is very important to get the oil from the head back to the sump.
We have some AN-10 single wrap hose on special at the moment. It is $25 per/m. Usually it is $40 plus. It would be perfect for what you want.
could be keen on some fuel lines and wastegate lines, maybe radiator. and few other things. when i'm ready i'll send you a pm, wont be for a while though, after i got my engine back in the bay.
whats the quality of this hose compared to the stuff enzed or pirtek sell ???
Personally I think its the best you can get. I spent alot of money and time to get it right. I just hope all the late nights spent testing and cracking it because it wasn't good enough is going to pay off. I would be happy to put it up against any of them but in reality the pressure we use it for is never going to test it out.
ohh where were you 6 months ago mate :( i blew nearly 4000 at enzed on my bay.... and i can say to all those looking at these prices they are fantastic.
ive bought all earls line and the braid is alot rougher and no where near as neat as these hoses.
well done mate on bringing somemore competion to this market its definately needed and good luck with the business
Thanks bud - Personally I was sick of spending the amount of money for the exact issues you mention. Worst case scenario for me is that I have all the braided hose myself and my friends ever need. I guess I'll just have to do a few more engine bays and fuel systems!
Well I've also got a 77 corolla wagon that I'll be doing the lot in braided ;) won't be for quite a while but it's 100% getting done so if it works out for you. I'll deff grab a heap of you.
Cheers buddy let me know.
do you guys sell the fittings for the hoses also?
Not yet... However any Speedflow, Earls or the like will fit.
Could possibly interested in the radiator hose kit as well as some other bits n pieces - will let you know closer to the time
Yeah the radiator hose size stuff now has to go into production, then shipping etc It may be a little while. I am also trying to find some clamps to suit. Not everyone will have an aluminium radiator they can weld AN fittings to. So a clamp is needed that doesn't look like you bought it at bunnings.
**** this is what ct needs!!! i feel you may make a bit of money in the near future when you get your fittings all sorted!~ i no i will be handing over a fair bit of coin into your pockets shortley!!
Oh and as a side note, if you need LS Series coils and plug tails for the more serious ignition systems, think capable of 1000+ Hp igniting methanol ;) Send me a PM. Prices are very reasonable.
you really need to make fittings for RB25 covers :D!
there is a dude on SAU that does it, But he wont reply to my Pms and **** anymore so you should take over ;)
just a fitting turned down to push into the rocker cover.
bro u prices are fair if u compair to what else is out there but i get that straight off the supplyer good luck with the new side business

Yeah no body works for free Ank. If I sell all this hose I still wouldn't come out in front if I took into consideration the hours of testing and development.
Then again cars and making them fast is a passion of mine and Mitchell's so for us this is a side project. It gives us the ability to purchase hose at reasonable prices with outstanding performance. I'm just nice enough to pass it on. This hose is as good as Earls or any other product on the market and I would be happy to put it up against any product price vs performance. Its super flexible and can bend happily at 4 x OD. I'm an Engineer by trade and perfection is the only answer. Half suck products, and half suck workmanship just don't cut it in my books.
Some of the cheap stuff is ok, so if you get onto a good one stick with them. Just be watchful as it ages for brittleness and tolerance to the harsher fuels. You can check by pulling a hose end off and rubbing your finger around inside the hose. If it comes out black your in strife.
Our braided hose is very tolerant to e85, meth and so forth. The Teflon based hose is 100% compatible. You could leave the fuel in the lines forever and it would never eat it away.

Yeh but i dont want to weld to my fresh powdercoated covers, didnt think of that before i got them done.
I Purchased 1m of -6 and 2m of -8 hose off mitch on friday. ****in cheap price compared to other hose on the market. Nice photos mate. Looks a million bucks.
orderd friday and payed friday night, got it just then.. super fast.
i have got braided line from Enzed, pertek and Extream turbo manifolds (dont know here he gets it from) and this stuff is on par with looks and feel of quility but its more flexable, very happy with it!
Good Stuff Matt.. Remember send me a photo and if I like it and post it in this thread you get a discount on the next order ;)
Also stay tuned for Stubby Holders/Shirts - everyone needs stubby holders
how the ****en **** do you ****en cut this ****en ****?
I have cut and put on fittings 3 times on the -4 i got but the last one i just cant do.. every time i cut it, it flares out and makes a mess.. tried tape and all that.. the hose keeps getting shorter and shorter, might need to order some more..
I shortend my -12 lines and never had a problem at all..
What tape are you using mate? White masking tape is the go and also make sure the tape is tight and whatever you use to cut it with is sharp. I use a grinder with a stainless blade. You want to cut fast but use minimal pressure as not to distort the hose. Also what fittings are you using? Not push lock ones? It is suiutable for all hose end fittings like these.. Speedflo, RedHorse, Earls, PFE etc etc all work.
http://www.redhorsedirect.com/parts4/images/1180-04-2.jpg
;) Don't stress mate I will help you out. PM us your mobile if you like.
im using the same style of fittings at above, i have put 3 others on no problem but just cant get one to stop from flarring out, Was hoping you had a sneaky trick.. didnt know you could get stainless blades, Will have to go get one tomorrow and give it another go.
im not saying at all its the hose! dont get me wrong, its just my trying to cut it. the others worked perfect but just one wont work. Looked at the cut i got from you and its perfect.
I just want my customers to be 100% happy with everything. My products need to work all the time every time or its just not good enough. Doesn't matter if its a streeter or a 8 sec monster. If you get stuck I think I may even have a half metre off cut that you can have for postage:)

matty white masking tape heaps of it use anything else and it will flare, you can use a grinder and a cutting disc and it will end up straight as hell, remember to clean the arse out of it afterwards though cause it leaves heaps of debris in the line
Yeh i was using duck tape, ill go get some Stainless cutting discs tomorrow and see how i go..
duke, Ill take that half a M off you yeh, but ill pay for it. nothing to do with you or your product. Pm a price and ill get the money off ASAP.

Watch this video, this is another way to go about cutting the hose. I havent tried it personally, all i usually use is the thinnest cutting disc i can find, masking tape and it cuts through like a hot knife through butter. then put a few drips of oil in the fitting just to help it go in.
his "Clean" cut isnt so clean..
AN-10 Breather kit is sold. It is going to be used on a LS1 setup. Should have photos soon.
Just to mention all the random fittings are sold.

Some new stock items :)
AN-8 (1/2") and AN-10 (5/8") Aluminium Hardline. the AN-6 (3/8") Will be in stock end of week.
$10 per/m for the AN-6 and $12.50 per/m for the AN-8 and AN-10. This stuff looks awesome polished up and will escape any inspection by the police.

The hardline to braided hose adapters are about $25 a pop. Can also go to femal ends so you can just put a 3/8th NPT fitting to AN-6/AN-8/AN-10 male fitting straight out of your fuel rail, turbo drain etc etc. It is cheaper than braided hose but is more time consuming to put in. IF you put the effort in and polish it and bend it up nice in my opinion it probably looks better.
Enjoy
We also do wholesale pricing for businesses. Please contact via email.
Thanks Luke@Missile
hey luke if my braid eats a fat one with the ethanol going through it i'll be hitting you up for 1/2" alli tube with braid ends so you know
Yeah once you get the bending down pat to make it neat it looks as good as factory. Some people paint it black and do it sneaky. Combine it wil black fittings and it looks factory. 1/2" line is roughly equiv to AN-8 so it will handle plenty of HP. The 5/8" stuff is good for turbo drains/fuel lines/breathers etc and is equiv to AN-10.
Easy peasy.. even CT members could do it. :)
I use a pipe tool to make the bends perfect but you don't need to. You can also use conduit springs to keep it more round if you need to make lots of bends in a small space.
The only issue with Aluminium Hardline is it must be firmly attached the the vehicle. Can't be allowed to vibrate against stuff etc.
From a prettiness point of view it will lose its luster if you polish it but you can clear coat it, bar where the fitting/olive is used. I generally paint it black for sleeper spec.
Seeing as Forza is having a 1 week only Hektic garage sale, I thought I better do the same.
3.5m of AN-6 Single Wrap Braided Hose $50 + postage

Also working on a factory setup feed + drain setup. Will be at a great price but will lack the bling of red/blue fittings. Also doing highmount feed + drain setups.. PM for details.
To easy mate. As soon as I get it all on the car will send you some pics
yeh duke that is spretty cheap man, people will wake up once they look around, for the people considering buying this stuff just do a cost comparison in the long run it works out alot cheaper and in my opinion looks 100 times better, i'll get a few snaps of later
Yeah I can see it being cheaper in the long run. I think I would of replaced the rubber hoses in my car probably at least 8 times now. Everytime I took them off they were worn and needed replacing. Hence going the braided now :)

Also just to let everyone know -
Anyone with a serious engine combination backed by an auto with a hi-stall + t-brake, for every second your on the brake/converter trying to bring the turbo up to launch boost you can raise transmission temps between 20 and 30 degrees per second.
Now if you have done the right thing and have a transmission cooler all bolted up, make sure its not connect with normal braided rubber hose. Just about all brands are rated @ 150 degC my stuff included(I havn't found one rated higher). Low enough that if your on the brake long enough you will melt the rubber lines and drop the oil out of the box. Not a good situation.
I reccomend that you use Teflon hose as a minimum, as it has a 250 degC temp rating (actual tests put it higher than this).
You can use hardline, but as with all hardlines it work hardens. Thus you should only use it if there will be minimal movement of the gearbox/engine combo. IE Solid mounted. Hardline has the highest temp rating at well over 500 degC, but with that does come the dowside as mentioned above.
As always guys, talk to me about what you plan to do with it. Hopefully I can guide you in the right direction. :)

Good Sir, you have a PM
I will match or beat any quote from now until Christmas :)
Think you can get it cheaper elsewhere. You can't. Email me a legitimate quote from a reputable dealer, not some ebay lacky selling no name fittings and I will better it.
Asked for hose on Wednesday in 3 posts above this one, got it today.. What else can be said.
thanks so much mate.. good man.

No probs mate. Enjoy :)
How much per meter for -8 braid to suit E85 mate, so teflon i'm guessing? Also can you get the hardline adaptors in silver/black? I know you don't really look under the car but all my other fittings are silver/black.
I probably can get them in silver/black combo but they would be PFE or Earls and not sure on the price of them. I will call the manufacturers tommorrow and see what I can come up with. It may not be the easy hardline adapters either, you may have to settle for tube and nuts and buy a 37 deg flaring tool. I will see what I can find out anyway.
The AN-8 Teflon is $45 p/m
Thanks Luke@Missile

All my other fittings are earls mate so that would be cool. Let me know, if I can get away without needing to flare the line would be good, if not i'll just strip the coating off the red/blue ones.
The Earls are a nice fitting and work well, just bloody over priced.
I can get the hardline adapters in black up to 5/8" and the teflon fittings I am still chasing down for you in black. :)
Setup a GT35r on a top mount manifold today.. I'll get some pics up through the week.
Got your email bud, will talk to you soon.

Pricing is indicative at this stage, but for CNC's flanges with gaskets and bolts + NPT to AN adpater of your choice it will be around $35 + postage. I want to play with them first. :p
The GT mid frame stuff is coming, and then I'll do some GT large frame.
Thanks Luke@Missile
have u used these yet ?
Hey mate I wanna run 1/2 line straight of the back of my 044 pumps is this possible, then they run to a y piece and then through the bulkhead on the boot floor
have u used these yet ?
I had a play with one last night actually, not 100% happy with them. The fit quite well but the NPT thread needs a little work as the CNC process has left a little to much meat on nose of the thread. Going to clean them up with a NPT tap this week and make sure they are 100% perfect before I sell them.

Hardline aluminium? or where you thinking braided hose? Either way is possible.
I have 1/2 hardline already, but um not sure how to get it from the pumps to the single -8 bulkhead I have

Ahh K well in that case I would use a Y block..
Yeh cool, so what ever I need to connect the -8 to the pumps, a y block and what ever else I need plus a roll of 1/2 tube.
Pm me a price and bank details and I'll do it straight away

ORB fittings with oxygenated compatible o-rings - For use with Fuel Regs and race fuels. Also perfect suitable for pump ;) Between $12.50 and $15ea

Want to win HP heroes or run 7's...
5/8" Aluminium hard line with AN-10 screw on fittings.. Safe to say there isn't an injected engine on CT that these fuel lines couldn't feed.. It would do my LSX 408 TT twice over and probably then some.
...also good for drain lines from turbos and catch cans if you don't want to be quite that serious :D..
You just slide it together, no flaring, no bull****. I like it.

CT Info Bulletin -- Important please read.
There is a bit of misinformation floating around in regards to the Hardline Adapters I am selling. I am here to say that the psi rating is 100psi. I have used them at greater ratings without issue, but obviously if the manufacturer states 100psi it is what it is. I used to use this style of fitting at pressure above 30 bar in other environments so I don't have any doubts.
Situations where they would not be perfectly suitable would be things like high pressure oil feeds, coolant feeds, when your running 30+psi of boost on a base fuel pressure of 70psi etc etc. If in doubt ask me :). In these situations a tube nut and sleeve kits would be a suitable replacement.
However if you feel in anyway that they are not satisfactory to your requirements or I have mislead you I offer a full refund inc postage back to me. I can then offer you suitable replacement at a heavily reduced pricing. :)
If you have any questions please post them here or PM me.
Thanks Luke@Missile

Just a word about the sort of customer support you can expect from Missile performance.
Was in canberra the weekend of the summernats, i had purchased a braided coolant feed hose for my 3540 in an r31 a few months before off luke, as my previous fitting of another brand had worked loose. Noticed while i was in canberra that the new hose was leaking, called Luke, and he told me to come around to his house and we'll sort out the fitting (he lives in canberra) Let me borrow his tools, garage space and we worked out that i had damaged the hose end during installation. Luke replaced the coolant feed hose with a teflon hose and fittings free of charge and 3 hours of running around with him driving me to his mates place to borrow his vice and i was back on the road. Customer service is second to none! And it was 9 oclock on a saturday night by the time it was finished!
Highly recommended! never experianced customer service like that before!

Need to replace that speedflow -12 90 in the boot with the missile fitting.
All the braided hose is Missile performance hose, the blue fitting are missile, the red are speedflow ones I already had. The pic doesnt do the fitting justice, the Missile performance ones are more polished than the others, and look alot better. The fittings and hose are so much easier to use than the other stuff I used at the start.
Thanks heaps Luke your a champion to deal with, and prices are so much better than anywhere else, and i have spent a fortune on braided lines for this thing over the last 12 months with the same business, and you come in cheaper right from the start.
Cant recommend Luke enough to deal with people, professional, polite, fast service and great prices. One of the most reliable people I have come across while building this car.

ok do you know of a place that does quality hose for a good price?..
Gold-VLT, Try HEL brake lines.
http://www.helperformance.com.au/
Got them in my car. ADR, CAMS, ANDRA.. everything approved.
I generally use Goodridge lines from Competition Friction in the ACT. Honestly I have done off road buggies and track cars and the like with my braided hose and fittings. It works and works well and they have never had a problem. For what its worth I use the same fittings as HEL... I distribute Aeroquip as my standard Teflon Fitting.
Ok new product alert..
I am having manufactured some Bosch pump check valve/filter fittings all rolled into one.
Quite simple, they screw in the end of an 044 for arguments sake, have a high flow check valve a 30 micron filter all in the one fitting. The units are all serviceable and thus give just about an infinite service life. Come in red, blue, black and polished.
Best of all they will come in at a very competitive price.
Stay tuned I will have pictures up shortly.
Thanks Luke@Missile

its not just the fact that they are crimped as to why they are ADR compliant. You have to purchase the specific machine (worth about $20,000) to make the lines to also gain ADR compliance. You cant simply make a crimped line and say its ADR because its crimped. It doesnt work that way. (and if you are in an accident and have braided brake lines and you cant prove it with a receipt from one of these places with the ADR machine, you can bet your insurance company will use it as an excuse not to pay up thats for sure!)
Exactly the reason I don't want to go into it, having access to the tools to do the job but not owning them opens up a plethora of litigation possibilities. I like going to sleep at night knowing that everything I have supplied will work as intended and not put anyone at risk.

Depends on exactly how you plumb it really, I've done a few now, well a lot of them and not one has been done the same. Figure $100 for hose, $100 for fitting would get it to the factory hardlines I would think. Thats why I always get a clear understanding on what the customer wants before I start quoting.

I'm working on it.. Hopefully the website will be up and running soon. Watch this space.
Just wondering to you sell engine bay dress up kits. I wouldn't have a clue on what I'd need. But I'd like to neaten it up & pi55 off the standard fuel lines. Also I'll need some oil lines for the catch can & from the waste gate aswell.
Do you want me to measure the lengths or do you know what's needed.
Thanks Duke
Engine bays are impossible as they are all different. Send me some photos so I can have a squiz and we can work from there.
Heaps and heaps of options, just depends on the look your going for.

Just to let everyone know that AusPost has increased its charges for Express Post Bags.
As such items less than 500g will have a minimum post cost of $10
> 500g < 3kg will be $15
> 3kg < 5kg will be $25
We have other options available such as packaging in boxes etc, but these are generally more expensive. As such all quotes from today onwards will reflect this.
If people are doing the push on hose routine for there dual 044 setups, I now have push-lok one-way valves in stock. About $25ea.
Thanks
Luke@Missile
You got anything for big fuel cell roll over valves/vents?
Yeah I know a guy who makes them, what set of rules do you need it to comply with?
Um something that goes on a hose end not in a cell itself, would like a filtered end as well as sealing off if upside down. I have a JAZ roll over valve but i don't know if it filters properly and its for going in a cell, not on a hose
So you have a male flare on the tank and basically you need a roll over valve that goes onto that. What size is the male flare?
Now by filter, you want it to filter anything going into the tank? I am assuming that this roll over vent is going to the filler neck on the car?
I'll PM details man, make it a bit clearer
Thanks bud. PM replied to.

once again a flawless transaction with Luke..
Thanks!
Guys I have some VE and VT-VZ Braided Brake lines. The VT-VZ is all 6 lines ;) which most kits don't come with.
I ordered them for a few guys who have pulled out of a group buy.
These are Russell lines and are DOT approved amongst other things, reading the latest ADR rules they meet or exceed them without issue.
$250 for the VE lines and the $275 for VT - VZ.
I also have speed bleeders to suit, great for motorsports or guys working from home. Again a Russell product. They are $10 ea.
I have heaps of the speed bleeders, which will suit most brakes. M10 x 1.0.
I have 3 each of the VE and VT/VZ so let me know. They won't last long.
---------- Post added 05-08-11 at 19:59 ----------
One set goneski..
two set goneski.. still have a few VE sets and a few VT-VZ sets left.
Dude can you please re send me the invoice for the -16 stuff last week, pretty sure I havent paid you yet. Also what I owe you for you services and parts Saturday morning at the track. Hope you didnt get in to much trouble from your missus either.
Track services are all part of the deal. Comes with the territory. It was my pleasure.
Oh and I have some Speed Bleeders for you as well if you want them? M10 x 1.0, makes life easy when you bleed brakes and clutch lines. See if they will fit the AP's and I'll post some down to you.
Yeah sweet man, ill find out what the bleeder size is
Hay Guys

AN-8 or 1/2" will be fine.

Lots and lots of variables mate, send us a PM with your ideas and we can run through it.
Ok guys, VT-VZ and VE Braided Brake Lines made by Russell full kit all 6 lines for the VT-VZ on special. $229..
Luke can you give me a price on catch can lines in dash 10 braid for me?
85cm long each. 150 deg silver fitting for rocker cover, 90 deg silver fitting for catch can.
There's obviously two of each as there is two lines.
Cheers,
Brett
Ordered hose and fitting again, received next morning.....Speedy!
More importantly.. do you like them? :D
Look tuff man, is the smaller stuff hard to asemble, i find the bigger the easier and this **** is small!
It is the easiest lines you will ever do in your life... About 2 mins an end.
1) Put Hose End over taped Teflon Hose
2) Remove tape (very important to do it in this order)
3) Flare braid a little
4) Make sure Teflon cut is straight and that it is round in shape. You can use the barb on the other end of the hose end to do this.
5) Push olive over Teflon and make sure it is seated
6) Push barbed hose end into Teflon till it seats.
7) Screw together and enjoy 10,000psi of capability.
So these are no good to me if i wanna run 11,000 lbs boost?
You find Electrical tape best? Thats what i normally use

Hahah welllll thats why I specc'd it as Teflon I know what your like.
I use electrical tape/masking tape for cold cutting and masking tape only for hot cutting.
Howdy everyone - deleted all 900 of my PM's. So plenty of room to try again.

Its with regret, that I inform you of my intention over the next 3 months liquidate the stock at Missile Performance. I can no longer afford to offer the time required to do justice to my customers and offer a level of service I think adequate. All concurrent orders will be processed with the same due diligence you can come to expect from the guys here at Missile.
I will not be offering the business up for sale, however all serious enquiries in regards to purchasing stock at wholesale pricing are more than welcome.

I will still be around to help out and all my faithful customers (You know who you are) as I won't be closing down my accounts with manufacturers. I will however be concentrating on my own cars a bit more and spending more time with like minded people who race cars.
So yeah, basically just going to pass on my knowledge when it comes to automotive stuff where I can and get back to enjoying cars.
but we can still get stock for a while yet cant we?
Certainly can, but I wouldn't want to take too long to place an order.

Luke

Hey bro im gona need a cpl meters of braid in -8 plus fittings to suit my e85 setup, basically it's cell - 2x Carter pumps - surge tank - 2x 044 into y block into single line feed
Basically I want the line, fittings and y block, I don't have access to a comp ATM but can draw wat how I want it on paper and txt u te drawing if that helps?
Thx bud wait to hear from u :-)
No problemo, I'll send you a PM now.
I have some Teflon Braided Hose on special.
AN-10 and AN-8 @ $19.95 per/m
It does require some clearancing on the inside as it is thicker wall as I was trialling it for other things. It works perfectly and if you want I can supply fittings and fit off the hoses for you free of charge. Fittings range in price but I will do an unbeatable deal.
Cheers
Luke
