Are the aftermarket valves any good? duz360 09-01-08, 12:43 ive never noticed a difference. Niche 09-01-08, 21:03 Huh, they look absolutely identical but then again I have seen 3 n/a calais and they appear to have identical brake boosters to the turbo yet someone is sure the boosters are very different  Lets think this through, holden could make more money by having more than one listing even though parts are the same because the psychology is people might favour the turbo and hence pay more - seen that type of thing many times. But the PCV is *just* a one way valve - its dead simple, the fittings "might" be different between n/a and turbo but I havent seen that or remember it  My considered opinion is holden are either taking advantage or made a stuff up - such a basic valve should be identical. Darryl 09-01-08, 22:48 I can assure you the N/A and Turbo brake boosters are very different. The bracket on the front of the master cylinder faces a different way for each because the booster is bigger. Well it was between my Series 200 N/A and Calais Turbo! calais25t 10-01-08, 13:28 yep the turbo booster is 2-3 inches thicker and double diaphram. ijd 10-01-08, 22:46 Lots of people convert their N/A cars to turbo and use the stock N/A plenum and nothing is said about changing the pcv so I'd assume their the same. |
