i know that corran does.. in a torana with a RB30ET
his name on here is vltnitron
do u know where he races??
best bet is to ask him mate, or at least wait for him to reply here :)
black rock mate. is a lx hatchback torana with a vl turbo engine, auto and 9" 3.9 lsd. has high flow turbo, microtech, wagot cam, gtr injectors, redirected planum and cooler. makes 410hp at engine on 15psi
I moved the engine back 18inches. built it myself.
Am in 'A' grade. on weekend got 2 First's, a 4th and 7th lol, lost it hard

best thing about it it's easy to power slide cos the steering is 1 turn lock to lock. is usually on full lock anyway, steer with the loud pedal lol
yea it would b i wanna do da same but i wont coz u done it lolz
my dad used to race up at roxby. Had a ford eskort mark 1 widebody, subaru brumby running gear (4 wheel drive), and a race prepped 13b bridgeport, which now lives in my mazda r100.

raced it twice before the flywheel broke into pieces, exploded, and went through the bonnet and panels.... they spray painted part of the bonnet gold and made a trophy for dad. hahaha
So it was constant 4 wheel drive and 13B Bridgeport in an escort?
sure was.
The "Maz-Esca-Roo"
Mazda Escort Subaru

Thats a combination you wont hear too often!
4x4 would have made that thing a weapon
Speaking of wierd combinations, a mate and I built a off road buggy years ago. not to race, just to rip up his farm with. It had a rear mount 202 and trimatic with a land cruser transfer case to brumby diffs (constant 4x4 ) with big duelers all round . 4x4 in the dirt and mud did the best power slides. you simply couldnt spin it out, if you got into a spin you would just plant your foot and the 4x4 would simply pull you out of the corner.
he actually copied the idea from a mate of his with an r100 or rx2 dirt circuit car with brumby running gear.
but dads a ford man, so it had to be an escort. haha

Car looks like a bit of fun Corran..Congrats on coming first, how many cars do you race against in A grade.I have never heard of Black Rock before so you got me curious as to where it is.Funny thing is years ago one of my uncles lived at Terowie which i see is only 40 odd k's away. That would have to be a good 3 hour drive from Town to Black Rock wouldn't it?How many races a year are held there?
Lee
this year theres 7-8 cars in A grade, black rock is near orroroo, is about 3 hours i suppose. it's on once a month on the 3rd sunday of the month
