WHY WOULD YOU CUT HOLES IN YOUR CAR??

Here is a brief run down.

We sell VL intercooler kits but they require 1 hole to be cut in the chassis (ILLEGAL), they require you to remove the air con and they require you to remove your air box (pod filter and intercooler in many states is ILLEGAL). BUT there is not really any other cheap option.... Or is there???

We have developed a kit from scratch to your specifications. The front mount intercooler measures 600*230*76mm's and uses Trust style end tanks. The end tanks are polished aswell as the piping, the piping is also mandrel bent aluminium and has minimal visable weld marks (as seen in the pictures). The pipe work is all 2.5" and is designed to support 300+ rwkw's. The kits allow you to keep aircon, keep your stock airbox, and there is no need for any holes to be cut in your car.

We deal direct with the factories in Asia and also deal direct with the customers (you guys) to help keep the prices down. This kit will retail for $649 but will be available for calaisturbo.com members for $599, or from as little as $416 in this pre-buy.

- The kits will be manufactured by the end of March and will take around 2 weeks to arrive after this date.

- The pre-buy price is from only $416 for the complete kit (including polished mandrel bent pipes, 1x 600*230*76mm polished intercooler with trust style end tanks (made to our specifications to suit the VL), all silicone hoses, T-bolt clamps, brackets, nuts, bolts, etc.

greg, im sure you probably answered this before but i couldnt find it. Will the cooler fit inside a group a front bar? i dont mind having to take the air con condenser etc off as it is coming off anyway. Cheers, Nathan.

nathro you have to modify the front air dams to fit it. but apart from that you can keep the rest on with a thinner air con thermo.

apart from that the kit is a great buy for 416 and takes not long at all to fit.

The intercooler alone is $200.

There is no exact date as there are many things that can change. We expect them to arrive mid April.

My R32 4 door made around 280rwkw's with 1.4 bar of boost (SR20) and was going very strong with one of the 600x300x76mm coolers and these flow much better.

Our price for the piping kit is $399 so it's not too much cheaper when we have them on sale like this.

If you're in Victoria it will only take a day or so for you to get them. The same day they come in they will be sent out :)

The cooler kits should be here any day now. We are waiting on the arrival notice before we have an exact date. They were expected around the 25th (yesterday) but as of today, we haven't had a confirmation.

Sweet, now all I have to do is go and buy a drill with some drill pieces... hahaha :) Ah well, will be useful in the long run.

I wouldn't pay more than $150 for it to be installed.

The kits are all designed as DIY and are VERY easy to install yourself.

Hey Greg, got mine yesterday lunchtime. I was so stoked I fitted it as soon as I got home from work :) I had to pinch some hose clamps from work though, as there were none in the box???

I'm really happy with the quality and performance, but I do have one question - the return pipe from the cooler (under the radiator) fouls on the P/S line, and doesn't sit straight. Do I need to relocate the P/S line to under the 'cooler piping or what?

Hi mate, emails were sent off to all the listed emails on the prebuy forms informing all customers that we have to send out the clamps in around 1-2 weeks time as they didn't arrive with the silicone. To compensate for this we'll be including Stainless steel T-bolt clamps.

The pipe isn't suppose to fit straight along the chasis rail and it does come very close to the power steering line (depending on whether the car is a series 1 or 2)

The same tooling was used for the piping and the same cast moulds were used on the end tanks of the intercoolers. They are exactly the same as the other batch (minus the EGR being in the correct spot with this batch).

We are closed on both Mondays and Wednesdays as we work ridiculous hours every other day.

The turbo side has to sit down hard on the aircon hoses, and my pwr str hose is the s2 type that comes up then down with a bracket with 2 screws holding it to the chassie.
Also the under side pipe on the turbo side, doesn't go under the chassie enough so it won't meet up with the other. Is hard against the steel pwr str line.
On the other pipe, under side also when you have it conected to the cooler and lift it up into position it hits the round part of the fan shround.
Which is why i was wondering about the cooler being too wide?

We still have the 600x300x76mm coolers but we couldn't provide them with the prebuy kits as we'd already ordered the correct number to suit the pipe work.

The 600x300 coolers won't line up perfectly to the pipe work.

All the intercoolers are pressure tested to 80psi.

10-11psi will be fine :)

So no more at $499? Whats the price on just the piping? and so if i bough a 600x300x70 plate it woudlnt fit?

The cost to manufacture these kits has gone up quite significantly in recent times and I really doubt that we'll ever see the kits below $599 again :(

The piping on it's own is $429.

The 600x300x76mm is not a straight fit and a fair bit of mucking around is involved to get it to fit 100%.
